If the weather forecast is looking like you’re in for a wet Easter, it’s time to get out the scissors, glue and paper and get creative! Here are a few simple Easter Craft ideas you can try with your kids.
It’s worth a trip to your local craft store to get a few supplies:
glue, paints, child friendly scissors, feathers, glitter, coloured paper, cotton wool, assortment of felt, coloured felt pens, coloured wool …
You’ll probably have some of these bits in your house already.
Put everything in a plastic box with a lid. We keep a box like this and top it up occasionally with more crafty bits and pieces.

Easter Bunny’s footsteps stencil!
Here’s a clever way to make some Easter Bunny footprints. You could use them to follow on an Easter egg hunt, or they could be the signal for the start of an easter egg hunt. A sure sign that the Easter Bunny has been!
Simply cut the Easter Bunny footprint shapes out of a piece of paper and then sift baby powder over the stencil to leave the footprints.
Egg Carton Chicks
Here’s a super easy Easter craft activity for little people. You can turn your old egg cartons into easter chicks and fill them with little Easter Eggs.
These will make gorgeous gifts for Grandparents and family. Nothing says I love you like a home made gift 🙂
Just cut up a cardboard egg carton and paint it yellow.

String Easter Basket Craft Idea
For the more advanced crafters among you, how about this String Easter basket idea.
Blow up a small balloon. Fill a bowl with some PVA or craft glue and add a little water. Mix well.
Put your coloured string or embroidery into the glue so that it is well soaked.
Then wrap coloured string or embroidery thread around the inflated balloon.
Let the glue dry completely so it becomes hard and then pop the balloon and pull the deflated ballon out.
You could even add little lights or chicks inside to decorate.
Easter hand and footprint art

But Craft time is a time to get messy! So, you could use some Baby safe, non toxic paint or ink pads and try out some of these ideas. These make great keepsakes for the memory book or you could gift them as cards for Grandparents and family.
